Just Be Okay With It

Just be okay with whatever is going on. That's the whole idea, and it's harder than it sounds. Most of us get thrown around by good news and bad news alike, and it wears us out.
You Don't Have to Be a Monk
Fully living this way, in every circumstance, would take monk-level patience. I'm not sure anyone can adopt it completely. I'm certainly not there.
But perfection isn't the point. Being okay with it is a muscle, and you can train it a little every day. Practice daily and you get more resistant to whatever life throws at you, good or bad.
When Something Wonderful Happens
Is something great going on in your life? Be okay with it. Be grateful for it.
That's it. Don't cling to the high, and don't get carried away by it. Enjoy it, say thanks, and keep going.
When Life Throws a Rock
Sometimes life throws a rock and you end up on your knees. Be okay with that too.
Be grateful that worse didn't happen. It sounds small (and in the moment it feels small), but it changes how the hit lands.
Neither Elated Nor Discouraged
Don't get too happy. Don't get discouraged. Just be okay.
Then move on. Good days and bad days both pass, and the work in front of you is still there.
Just be okay with it.
