Trust and Surrender: A Universal Truth Across Beliefs

Trust and Surrender: A Universal Truth Across Beliefs

Trust after taking action is a universal concept.

The Islamic Perspective

Tevekkül in Islam is to trust in Allah after effort. The Quran says:

“Once you make a firm decision, place your trust in Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who trust Him.”

Al-i İmran 3:159

Christian Teachings on Trust

Christianity says the same about trusting God’s plan:

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear… Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.”

Matthew 6:25-26

This passage is about relying on divine wisdom not personal understanding.

Reality Transurfing’s Flow Concept

Reality Transurfing is about aligning with the universe’s flow. It’s about setting intentions and then releasing attachment to outcomes. This is the same as religious concept of trust and surrender.

Buddhist Non-Attachment

Buddhism says non-attachment reduces suffering. Dhammapada says:

“Let go of the past, let go of the future, let go of the present and cross over to the other shore of existence. With the mind wholly liberated, you shall come no more to birth and death.”

Dhammapada

This is the same as releasing control.

The Common Thread

Across all these systems a universal truth emerges. After taking action, surrendering control brings peace. This principle goes beyond religious boundaries, trust in a higher power or the natural order.

The Best Advice a Father Ever Gave

The Best Advice a Father Ever Gave

Walking through rainy London streets, my wife told me about Haldun Dormen—one of Turkey's most beloved thespians who just passed away at 98. When he was young, he wrote to his father about his dream of becoming an actor. His father's reply contained just one sentence that shaped everything: "Whatever you want to do, do it. But do it in the best way you can." Permission paired with a standard. Freedom paired with excellence. It's the advice I want to carry forward to my own children.

Being Present is a Daily Practice

Being Present is a Daily Practice

The human brain goes into present-moment awareness during life-threatening situations. The amygdala releases cortisol and adrenaline and we focus completely on immediate survival. We can access deep presence when needed – your brain does this during car accidents, natural disasters, or physical threats. This biological response has been with us for millions of years as a survival mechanism. Research shows these heightened states of awareness increase reaction time by up to 50%.
